  • End of Y6 Show

    Year 6 performed their Greek and Olympic themed leavers' show this week. The children played a variety of roles including Zeus and Hades and performed the show to their parents and school community. It was an amazing show and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

  • Young Voices 2024

    On Thursday 1st February we took 32 children to Wembley Arena to take part in a Young Voices concert.  The children had been learning all the songs since they started back at school last September.  On the day we took the train from Ruislip Manor to Wembley Park and made our way to Zizzi for our lunch.  The children were very excited however they were very well behaved in the restaurant.  After lunch we made our way to the Arena and found our seats.  Rehearsals began at 2pm and we practised we the very talented conductor David Lawrence all afternoon.  The doors opened at 6pm and the parents started arriving for the concert which started at 7pm.  Everything went to plan and it was a very magical atmosphere.  The children, staff and all our parents watching had a thoroughly enjoyable time.

  • Year 1 - Polar Museum

    Year 1 enjoyed a virtual workshop run by the Polar Museum in Cambridge. They learned all about Captain Scott and his expeditions. This term, Year 1 are studying the key question, 'What makes a great polar explorer?' and this workshop has really supported this learning.

  • Year 6 - Battle of Britain Bunker

    Year 6 visited the Battle of Britain bunker in Uxbridge this week to learn about the role the bunker played during World War 2. The children learned about the air defence system and about the roles that were played by the women in the WAAF (Women's Auxillary Air Force) during the war.

  • Girls Football - Hillingdon Finals

    Well done to the girls football team who finished in third place in the borough finals this week. They qualified for the finals by getting to the final of the Ruislip and Northwood tournament two weeks previously. An amazing performance from the girls - well done!

  • Sportshall Athletics

    The Sportshall Athletics team were crowned borough champions for the third year running after taking part in the finals at Swakeleys School. Competing in a range of events including relays, triple jump and javelin the team scored the highest number of points across the 18 teams who competed. Well done to everyone who took part and who will now represent Team Hillingdon in the West London finals in February.

  • Banji Alexander Visit

    We were thrilled to welcome author Banji Alexander to our school to talk to us about his life as an author. He shared with us his new book called Lockdown Looms - Reggie's Birthday Party and signed some copies for us to enjoy at school. We learned a song to sing with him and really enjoyed his visit.

  • Coronation celebrations at Lady Bankes

    We had great fun at school celebrating the coronation of King Charles III. The children made crowns, had a picnic lunch and sang to all the school at our Coronation Concert.

  • World Book Day 2023

    On Friday 3rd March we celebrated World Book Day in school.  We started and ended the day with a second hand book sale by FOLBA in the hall, they were also selling pastries and refreshments, there was even an opportunity to have your photo taken in front of the sparkly photobooth.

    Everyone looked amazing in their costumes, ranging from princess's, wizards, hungry caterpillars there was a fantastic assortment of characters as you can see in the pictures.

  • Young Voices 2023

    On Monday 6th February the choir once again took part in the Young Voices concert at Wembley Arena.  They had been busy rehearsing since last October practising a selection of songs and medleys.  On the day we travelled by train to Wembley, we had lunch at the Global Buffet restaurant which the children thoroughly enjoyed!  We then arrived at the arena in time for the afternoon rehearsal.  The children were really excited and it was a fantastic experience.  For the evening show parents came and watched and joined in with the dancing from Urban Strides, also performing were the Beat Box Collective, violinist Anna Phoebe and the very talented Heather Small with whom the children sang her famous song "Proud".

  • Harvest Festival

    Thank you to everyone who donated food for our Harvest food collection.  This year our donations were again taken to the Hillingdon Food Bank by Lawrence Rand Estate Agents, where they were greatly appreciated.  They were collected in a van and some of our Year 6 House Captains pupils helped to load it up.
